Food and Beverage Executive

What this job involves:
Navigating through the gruelling demands of food and beverage / events operations
For many people in the food and beverage industry and events —both require rigour, discipline and precision for success. So if you’re looking to grow your strength in the F&B area / events, this role may be perfect for you!

Like a high-ranking officer creating order and efficiency in a brigade, you’ll need to foster camaraderie and teamwork to get the events, through the rapid-fire demands of busy operations. You’ll also emphasize the biggest success factor and —discipline—to ensure food and beverage and events, strict adherence to high standards in food safety and quality. You’ll be an authority— inspecting the team of stewards—as you must go above and beyond in monitoring, planning food and beverage service, menu and events as it should be, or even better!

Regular reporting and interaction with the Client and Service team, to ensure alignment of service and strategies across at all times.

Additionally, before the start of food service or events, you’ll need to sample the prepared food—it’s the best way to guarantee palatability and flavour conformity.

Responsible for the overall daily-to-day operations of the reception, Meeting Rooms, Conference Catering, Executive Dining and pantry services.
Coordinate events, conference, and meeting room setup with BU.

Keeping an eye on feedback, records and supplies
Are you an expert in handling customer feedback? In this role, you’ll develop ways to gauge client satisfaction. And see to it that any issues are resolved accordingly.

Taking a proactive stance, you’ll review our operations regularly to identify opportunities for improving service, safety and overall performance.

Keeping tab of supply and equipment inventories, and maintaining records on pantry operations also come with the role.

You’ll coordinate, as well, all equipment maintenance and repairs, maintaining stock and waste removal and pest control activities. Carrying out hygiene audits both internally and through a third-party agency.

Ensuring proper documentation and keeping records (event order form, log books, pantry checklists, records, etc.) up to date and consistent as per operations requirements are a must do.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Managing catering events
The role also involves arranging and negotiating with vendors regarding the facilities and catering services for special events. This means you will be on top of event schedules, and work closely with a catering vendor to identify how much and what type of food to serve.

You’ll need significant and relevant experience in food and beverage service and events. Your impeccable skills in evaluating existing processes and tweaking them when necessary will prove useful. You’ll also have solid background in formulating policies and developing new strategies and procedures.

Excellent vendor management skills and good working knowledge of important catering elements—including supplies, equipment, services ordering and inventory control—are also helpful.

Strong leadership and organizational skills
