Full Job Description :-
Reporting Manager: Director, Strategy & Learning
Team Size: 4-5 people
You will support projects critical to Teach For India both strategically and operationally. You will address challenges that the organization as a whole or any of our 20 vertical teams and cities are facing. You will work across a diverse portfolio of projects – conducting and analysing org-wide surveys, conducting primary research and data analysis, putting together reports and presentations, and engaging with stakeholders. In 2021 in particular, interns will support the team with background research and analysis for Teach For India’s ten year strategic planning process.
On any typical project, the role requires an ability to project manage, generate and analyze data, coordinate and brainstorm with internal and external teams, draw insights and make recommendations.
The Strategy and Learning team is the internal consulting arm at Teach For India – a key thought partner for the CEO, and an advisor and implementation partner for the 20 Vertical Heads who lead various teams and constitute the ‘Leadership Team’. It is a team that strives to bring unique and unbiased perspectives into organizational performance by working on a diverse set of projects across multiple functions.
Key responsibilities of the Strategy and Learning Team include supporting the CEO, as well as the Senior Leadership team, on developing TFI’s 10 year long term strategy as well as organizational decision-making in the short-term. The team serves as a learning partner for our 20 Vertical Heads and City Directors, which involves collaborating with internal teams on a project-basis on topics ranging from designing strategy, key-lever analysis, building team capacity, designing monitoring and learning frameworks, implementing performance improvement initiatives, change management, or more. The team also works jointly with the Chief of Staff to the CEO, to conduct periodic structured reviews to enable the Teach For India Board to have a strong, on-going understanding of where we are as an organization and what needs to be done in order to sustain and improve our progress. In essence, the Strategy & Learning team helps Teach For India find the right things to do, and the right ways to do them. Thus, the team is in many ways an engine that drives the organization towards its goal of educational equity.
Supporting the design and execution of multiple projects end-to-end for a variety of projects aimed at organizational development – e.g. research projects, pilots for new projects
Conducting recurring cross-regional surveys for different stakeholders

Creating compelling documents to communicate progress, insights and recommendations – e.g. presentations to Leadership Team members on insights from Fellow surveys
Conducting primary research, literature reviews, and benchmarking exercises to draw from the best practices in strategic planning, monitoring, change management and organizational development.
Engaging in brainstorming sessions with the team to identify problems and hypothesize causes and solutions.
