Duties
Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in the Regional Security Office (RSO), U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. The incumbent is required to provide security for U.S. personnel and facilities by conducting security operations as a member of a tactical team of SD personnel. SD Monitors are required to observe, recognize, and report potential surveillance and other suspicious incidents directed against U.S. Government facilities and/or personnel and initiate emergency responses to possible hostile actions, as necessary, to safeguard life and property. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
The position requires one year of military, police, or private experience in the field of security.

Education Requirements:
Successful completion of Secondary School (Class X) is required.
Indicate on the qualifications questionnaire all the education details as relevant for the position (Class X and/or higher for this vacancy). Also, please specify the name of the Certificate/Degree/Diploma course and the major subjects for each qualification you possess.)

LANGUAGE:
Level 2 (Limited) in English (Reading, Writing, and Speaking) is required.
Level 3 (Good working knowledge) in Hindi (Reading, Writing, and Speaking) is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid Indian Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license is required.
Please attach a copy of the valid Indian driving license with the application along with all the mandatory/required documents. Applications which do not have a copy of the license will not be accepted.
Please note: U.S. Government regulations require all Chauffeurs or Incidental drivers for official vehicles to be 25 years of age or older. We will not consider candidates below 25 years of age. Any applicant that possess a valid driving license issued for less than 5 years will not be considered. If the applicant had renewed their driver’s license they must include copy of old and current driver’s license in order for HR to confirm the issuance date.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
